Connemara Pony Festival August 14, 2016 – August 21, 2016 all-day The Showground, Clifden

The Connemara Pony Festival is the pre-eminent competition of its kind, featuring the best of Connemara ponies and an audience from around the world. The 2016 festival runs from August 14th to August 21st.

This year’s schedule is:

Wednesday 17^th August

10.30am: Final of the Irish Connemara Green Hunter

2pm: Final of the Connemara Pony Three Year old Loose Jumping competition

4pm: Final of the Connemara Pony Performance Mare Loose Jumping competition

Thursday 18^th

8.30am: Ring One commences

8.30am: Ring Two commences

Friday 19^th

8.30am: Working Hunter commences in Ring One

1pm: Final of the Clifden High Performance

3pm: Puissance Competition

The Parade of Champions takes place upon completion of the Puissance Competition

Saturday 20^th  – Family Day

11am: Lead Rein class

12 noon: Lead Rein 30cms course

1pm: Family Working Hunter

2.30pm: Inter Provincial Show Jumping Competition

2:30 pm in the Marquee: Old Time Waltzing & Jiving Competition in the Marquee

Also on the day: Fancy Dress, Dog Agility Show, Pony Rides & Many More Sideshows
